CD LINER NOTES

This CD project is the most personal of all my works to date. There are many concurrent themes to this recording. The title reflects the overall concept of the CD in general; and is self explanatory. I feel we are at the doorway of a new season in time. 2007 is the end of this current era. 2008 and beyond will be a new period in time. After this current time of struggle I am looking forward to this new season.

About the music:

The opening "Invocation" and "Prayer For Patience" are Devine inquiries and help set the tone for this project. "Upon Eagles Wings", and "The Miracle Of Metamorphosis" are representing the concept of beginning agian in a new form. "Meeting Of Worlds" carries the main theme of the seasons about to change. "Gaining Ground", "Tried By Fire", "Prayer For Patience", and "Persistence" show the present stuggles and reflect current hardships. "On Coming Of Age", and "Silver Stream" are my own personal pieces; the focus is on my jubilee year. The poem "Transfigured" I wrote in response to the passing of a special friend Jerry Powell, and also for my son Justin and uncle Terry as they are presently in their time of change . The mood in "Semi-Centenial Season" appropriately closes the CD.

Ecc 3:1 To every thing there is a season,

You live on with us all.

I thought today of times we shared

your depth of love and how you cared

Disfigured in your earthly frame

you held no bitterness or blame

Your love of life has gone so far

to show how fortunate we are

We all are blessed because of you

a warring soldier tried and true

And now at last the struggles done

a greater victory is won

Emerging from the cramped cocoon

a work of beauty to be soon

No longer held by terra’s bond

a new creation formed beyond

Reserved for you a great reward

bestowed upon you from the Lord

His love for you is now complete

Transfigured now His hands and feet
